depiak, is a CATReloaded Authorized – and the most promising – Foundation, depiak, one of five foundations that were first announced in CAT Scope 4 with FlashMania, Hackers and other foundations that haven’t seen light till today.

depiak *was* concerned with everything that is Web; development, design and mastering all are our fields of interest. But recently, we have seen that change can come from IT as a major field with some other subfields included not only web, System Engineering, Database Programming, Computer arts and Operating Systems can be considered now as fields in which we will have our discussions and events!

Our Objective
depiak Foundation’s ultimate goal is to increase members knowledge and skills using more practical educational methods, we aim the change that everyone seeks, especially in Egypt.

Our Vision
Led by our faith that we can’t only start it, but can achieve the change too, we will be working on our skills and our colleagues’, we will be the move. Those in the first position in the so long sprint till we know that we can keep up with those in front of us and others behind us won’t be even able to see our mirage.

How can we achieve this?
Simply, we are not like others, we don’t do some silly secret events with a lot of propaganda, with no ability to get most of them to life or don’t even know their real content to determine if they can help us or not, or some expensive courses, for topics that can work on together, with knowledge sharing and practical experience. We don’t ask for donations, we can professionally find our ways to our resources, and we excel in managing them.

We seek the change, and we will achieve it. Our answer will come from our activities, which can really vary from educational, practical and fun with motivation ones:

Events, one/two days conferences for example. We should proudly say, that we were beind having the first WordCamp in Egypt, all organized by depiak. We should also mention that till now we have organized to dKamps – depiak days -, in both we had discussed various IT related topics and technologies.

Courses, from highly educated instructors, to those who really want to feel the change. We have launched some technical courses, mostly in web development.

Workshops, which is another kind of our educational events, with the ability of global knowledge sharing between workshop’s members. We call this series of workshops; dkTalk and till now we held 10+ Workshops/Sessions in this series.

Projects, with the practical experience, we believe we will be able to keep that marathon going and be in the lead. We should focus on that our courses are always project oriented!

Fun, from one day trips to IT puzzles and fun gatherings, really, we have a great spirit in such field
